Azam-azam Aqilah.




My early intention of creating this blog was because Madam Yati, our EAP lecturer, had encouraged all of us to do so.


"What? You don't have a blog?"


And of course she wanted us to use English as the medium language, which I thought (and still think) was going to make the writing process more difficult.


My friends and I went out for dinner with a guy friend (a foreigner) last semester, his treat. I realized I didn't talk much compared to Dib, Newah and Sihin.



And it's NOT because I'm a shy girl or whatsoever. =p
But is due to lack of confidence when speaking English.
It is so not going to happen again next semester! (Azam nombor satu)



Talking about shyness, I do get shy when I bump into certain people. =)
But yes, no more running away Aqilah. (Azam nombor dua)






OK, only two? haha.









But hey, they are very challenging, at least for me. In the end, I may not do both.

Trying to run away and failing...

Selepas penantian selama berbulan-bulan lamanya, akhirnya saya dan Newah berjaya membeli buku ini:





What took us so long? We were actually waiting for the smaller version of the book to be released. Price of the bigger version is RM59.90, while the smaller one is RM32.90. See the difference there? I'm not rich thank you.



So you can guess how excited we were when Newah spotted the book at Popular, KUANTAN... =D



Newah bought one, I bought one too. Since they were nicely covered with plastic, we promised
ourselves... Takkan buka plastik, jadi tak dapatlah baca. Because we had another mid-term paper to worry about.


But then, the girl at the cashier ripped off the plastics, so... Guess who broke the promise? >____<

I don't want to tell you what the book is all about, read it yourself. But here are a few random sentences I found in the book:

Facebook is supposed to be a social network, but the truth is, most people I know who use it - me included - spend so much time online tweaking our profiles and writing graffiti on other people's walls or poking them that we never leave our computers to actually socially interact.

Didn't everyone lie? And wasn't there a difference between, for example, killing a person and telling the police you hadn't and smiling down at a particularly ugly baby and telling her mother how cute she was?

I know what it's like to start something and have it suddenly grow out of control. And you want to get rid of it, because it's hurting you and everyone else around you, but everytime you try to do that, it consumes you again.
